Joola 3S Series Paddles
I had the opportunity to test some of the new models at the Joola Pickleball Celebration 2024 in Orlando, Florida, and I'm thrilled with the power and control these new 3S paddles deliver. The new core provides incredible pop . The balls landed precisely over the net, and they were absolutely fantastic in singles. Anyone who knows me knows I don't play singles often – am I not fit enough or fast enough? Probably – but with the Anna Bright Scorpeus 3S paddle, I played in a way that made me very happy with my level of play. It was fun, and that's all that matters. The Anna Bright paddle has a large sweet spot, and at just 14mm thick, it's a real power paddle.
Compared to what I consider Joola's best paddle to date, the Hyperion C2 , the new Hyperion 3S (in green by Ben Johns and in blue by Simone Jardim ) is even better. The two Pro Pickleball Ambassadors, Mia van Rooyen and Antje Bruchner, are also now using the Joola Hyperion 3S (16mm) pickleball paddle.
I was able to hold the Tyson McGuffin Magnus 3S paddle, but not play with it. Who plays with a paddle freshly signed by Ben Johns, Collin Johns, Anna Bright, Dekel Bar, Federico Staksrud, and of course Tyson McGuffin himself? This paddle definitely belongs in a display case (if only I had one).

Perseus MOD TA-15 Pro Player Edition Paddles
I've been playing a lot with the new Perseus MOD TA-15 16mm pickleball paddle, especially in doubles. It's not a 3S paddle, but it also features a propulsion core and delivers tremendous pop. I really enjoy playing with this paddle and am considering replacing my current Joola Perseus 16mm with the MOD TA-15.
