Why Pro Pickleball GmbH?
Experience
We have experience in pitch construction and work with very experienced suppliers to sustainably build the best pitches.
We're passionate about pickleball!
A major reason why pickleball is still relatively small in Switzerland is the lack of good facilities. Unfortunately, a lot of money is often invested in courts that aren't playable afterward. That won't happen with us.
Long-term relationship
For us, it's not just about building the pitch, but also about building your community. We'll stay in touch with you even after the "pitch construction" project is complete and actively support the growth of pickleball.
FAQ
Especially for schools
Ideal space size
We recommend a pitch size of 9.1 x 18.3 m (official standard). If space is limited, a good pitch can be built from approximately 7.5 x 17.5 m.
For tournaments, a court size of 10x20m or more is recommended, exactly the same as a padel court - although in pickleball the escape route runs across the court and does not take up any additional space.
The ideal orientation and choice of dimensions depends on many factors:
- Existing infrastructure
- Indoor / Outdoor
- Light conditions / Sun position
- Subsoil
- Target audience
- Number of seats - distance between them
How much does it cost to build a pickleball court?
Depending on the product, a court costs between 5,000 and 15,000 CHF. This is in addition to the work on the subfloor (asphalt, repairs, carpet removal) and the net installation, where there are also significant differences.
Recommended network systems
Depending on your requirements, we recommend a mobile network or a relatively vandal-proof network.
On what type of surface can I set up a temporary or mobile pickleball court?
We can best create temporary pickleball courts on a homogeneous surface. Whether this is sealed concrete with a PickleRoll court or a stable temporary wooden structure, anything is possible! Even on a meadow, with enough money, a temporary wooden structure with a pickleball court can be set up.
How many pickleball courts can fit on a tennis court?
Depending on the size of the tennis court, the answer is 2 or 4. On two tennis courts, 6-8 pickleball courts can often be created.
A pickleball field (including run-off area) should be no smaller than 7.5 x 17.5 meters. Ideally, however, it should be larger, see question above.
