The year 2025 promises to be a year of growth, enthusiasm, and top-class tournaments for pickleball in Switzerland! Pro Pickleball has successfully hosted two of the four official tournaments of the 2025 Swiss Pickleball Tour (SPT) in recent weeks, making a significant contribution to the further development of this sport in Switzerland.
Tournament highlight in Solothurn
One of the largest tournaments of the SPT 2025 took place at the So Active Sports Centre in Solothurn . With an impressive 87 players and 241 matches across 11 categories, it was a resounding success. Numerous exciting matches, a few surprises in the results, and a fantastic atmosphere made this tournament a truly memorable experience for all participants.

Pickleball is growing in Ticino – A historic tournament!
The second tournament, primarily aimed at promoting sports development in the canton of Ticino , represented an important milestone for pickleball in Switzerland. Although fewer participants were expected , the event was very well attended with 55 players from all over Switzerland and a total of 153 matches .
For the first time, a teenager is on the SPT tour!
A particular highlight was the participation of a 10-year-old player – for the first time, a young person from Ticino was part of the official Swiss Pickleball Tour! This shows that pickleball is becoming increasingly popular among young sports enthusiasts.
Historic success for Ticino
Also noteworthy: For the first time, players from Ticino participated in an SPT tournament – and with resounding success! Two Ticino players won gold in the Mixed Doubles 2.5-3.79, Open Age , sending a strong signal for the growing pickleball community in the region.

Last chance for qualifying points in Düdingen
Following these two successful tournaments, the final qualifying tournament of the 2025 Swiss Pickleball Tour is now approaching. The tournament will be hosted in Düdingen by Rewan A. and his team from Tennis Düdingen .
This is the players ' last chance to collect valuable points to qualify for the Swiss Championship . The tension is rising, as it will soon be revealed who can secure one of the coveted spots for the 2025 Swiss Championship !
