The year 2025 has Pro Pickleball and the entire pickleball community in Switzerland with a real highlight! After we had already were able to introduce over 2400 children to pickleball in 2024 together with the Swiss Pickleball Associationwe are continuing our mission to get even more young people interested in this great sport.
Pickleball conquers schools in the canton of Baselland
The development in the Canton Basellandwhere Pro Pickleball already with 280 children Pickleball as an introduction to gymnastics lessons. Thanks to the great support of the Baselland Sports Officein particular through Christian Saladinit will now be several thousand children makes it possible to get to know and try out pickleball in the classroom.
The training lessons were a complete success! It is impressive to see, how quickly the children learn the basics of the game and above all how much fun they have doing it. Our assessment after these first units is clear: 99.9 % of the children really enjoyed the game!
Pickleball - More than just a game
Pickleball is a perfect mix of skill, strategy, movement and endurance. It is easy to learn, promotes coordination and is at the same time a fast, tactical and incredibly motivating sport.
It was particularly nice to see that children with different sporting backgrounds played together and were able to celebrate successes. The steep learning curve really enables everyone to progress quickly and keep up with enthusiasm.
Pure enthusiasm - A teacher reports
The feedback from teachers and pupils was consistently positive. One of the best reactions came from Jannis M., class teacher MSTwho describes his experience with pickleball in a double lesson as follows:
The calendar year had barely started when a special program was already on the agenda: pickleball! Magnus and the equipment arrived at the gym, where over 20 pairs of curious eyes were waiting for the exciting double lesson. As soon as the equipment was ready, we got started. Through simple and playful exercises, we quickly warmed up and got to know the equipment. Shortly afterwards, we were already playing. Rarely has a sport enabled such a steep learning curve and been so much fun at the same time. The next generation is infected! 🙂 Many thanks, Magnus, for your commitment with my kids - great!!!
