At Pro Pickleball, our focus is to involve passionate and active pickleball players as pickleball ambassadors who inspire themselves and those around them to become better both on the field and in life. We strive to show them ways to enhance their performance while strengthening their individual brand and identity. We believe in a close-knit community that helps develop a deeper understanding of one's style of play and learn how to continuously improve. Together, we are setting new standards in pickleball.
Antje loves ball sports - with and without a racket - and can look back on over 20 years of active table tennis in Germany. At the end of 2012, she ended her active career as a player and referee to take up the opportunity of a delegation abroad. Until her move to Switzerland at the end of 2020, Antje was less active in indoor sports for years, but more active on her bike and discovered trail running with her dog.
Antje first became aware of pickleball through a broadcast of the Graf/Agassi mixed team against Sharapova/McEnroe and knew immediately that she would like it herself. When Magnus invited her to the Kappel sports center for a test, fate took its course ....

Pickleball player and coach from Ruggell in Liechtenstein. One of the few qualified pickleball coaches from the very beginning.
Arno's main focus is on spreading the sport and building pickleball courts. He is a specialist and loves playing the game himself, but also gives training sessions.

Ambassador of the first hour and player of international pickleball tournaments! We are proud to have Jérôme as an ambassador for Pro Pickleball. Jérôme promotes pickleball in the region of Berne and thus expands our reach enormously.
Hardly anyone tries more in his life than Jérôme Frei. On the Instagram account of the Bernese table tennis player you can see what Jérôme has already tried / tested / tried out everything. A true multi-talent.
He discovered pickleball in mid-2023. He is now one of the few Swiss players to have played in international tournaments.
Pro Pickleball and Jérôme knew right away, the shared motivation for the new sport Pickleball must be multiplied together. So Jérôme became the first Pickleball Ambassador for Pro Pickleball, ever!

Laurent Fahrni
A Swiss, at home in Québec Canada and yet a Pro Pickleball Ambassador!
His wealth of experience and passion for pickleball is the basis for a valuable addition to our team. Laurent is open and ambitious, plays in a major regional league and plans to take part in several major tournaments, including the ELITE tournaments in Montréal.
His aim is to combine pickleball and his home country of Switzerland and to make the sport more widely known. He would also like to take part in tournaments in Switzerland.
Mia van Rooyen
Mia is from South Africa and has been happy in her new home country Switzerland since 2021. She is a passionate and competitive athlete, has represented South Africa at indoor cricket world championships, played college golf in the USA, is an avid trail runner and rode mountain bikes and road bikes semi-professionally in South Africa. Mia has played tennis and squash since the age of five and has played and tried almost every ball sport. She took a break from tennis in 2000 to pursue her golf ambitions. At the end of February 2024, Mia was persuaded to try pickleball and has been hooked ever since.

Stefanie Sandri
Stefanie not only brings an impressive passion for backstroke sports, but also valuable experience from her successful table tennis career.
Stefanie has been playing table tennis ambitiously since 2009, at the tender age of eleven, and has made a name for herself on the Swiss sports scene. She gained national experience with her women's team from Thun and even played in the National League A for two years. This shows that Stefanie knows what it means to play at the highest level and to face challenges.
In 2023, she learned through her mixed partner Jérôme Frei get to know a new, up-and-coming sport: Pickleball. Stefanie discovered her enthusiasm for this trendy American sport at a fun tournament and was immediately won over by the dynamism and fun that pickleball offers. Since then, she has been passionate and ambitious about improving her skills.
In addition to her sporting talent, Stefanie is characterized by her commitment to the Pickleball Club Bern out. Her aim is to make pickleball better known in Switzerland and to get as many people as possible interested in this exciting sport. With her enthusiasm and commitment, she is a real asset to the pickleball community in Switzerland.
